AI JobScraper - Privacy Policy

AI JobScraper is a Chrome extension designed to help job seekers extract and organize job listings from popular job boards. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect any personal data. AI JobScraper operates with the following principles:

• No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted
• No user tracking or analytics are implemented
• No data is sent to external servers or third parties
• All functionality operates locally on your device

What Data is Processed

The extension only processes publicly available job listing information that is already visible on job board websites, including:

• Job Titles: Extracted from public job postings
• Company Names: Publicly listed company information
• Job URLs: Links to public job postings
• Scraping Date: Timestamp when data was extracted

Local Storage

AI JobScraper temporarily stores scraped job data locally on your device only for:

• Duration: Up to 1 hour after scraping
• Purpose: To preserve your scraped results between popup sessions
• Location: Chrome's local storage on your device
• User Preferences: First-time onboarding status

Permissions Used

The extension requests the following permissions for specific purposes:

• activeTab: To read job listings from the current job board page when you click "Scrape Jobs"
• storage: To temporarily cache scraped job data locally on your device
• scripting: To inject content scripts that extract job information from supported job sites
• Host permissions: To access specific job board domains (LinkedIn, Upwork, Indeed, etc.)

Data Sharing

We do NOT share any data. Specifically:

• No data is transmitted to external servers
• No data is shared with third parties
• No data is sold or monetized
• All processing happens locally on your device

Supported Job Boards

AI JobScraper works with the following job platforms:

• LinkedIn.com
• Upwork.com
• Indeed.com
• Glassdoor.com
• Monster.com
• ZipRecruiter.com
• SimplyHired.com

Data Export

Users can export their scraped job data as:

• CSV files: Downloaded directly to your device
• Clipboard data: Copied to your system clipboard

All export functions operate locally - no data is uploaded or transmitted.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

User Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data to:

• Access or download
• Correct or update
• Delete or remove

You can uninstall the extension at any time to remove all locally stored data.
